Dangerous Goods & DGR Cargo Enquiries Kenya

Declared cargo. Confirmed specialist acceptance.

Request dangerous goods freight review for air or sea cargo, with shipper classification, specialist handling and confirmed carrier acceptance.

Operational overview

Declared cargo. Confirmed specialist acceptance.

Dangerous goods enquiries are reviewed for the mode, commodity, classification and route. Air movements require assessment against applicable aviation dangerous goods requirements; sea movements require the applicable maritime framework and carrier acceptance.

Correct classification is the shipper’s responsibility. Sheffield coordinates the enquiry with appropriate specialist handling and carrier contacts; this page does not claim in-house DGR certification or unconditional acceptance. Do not dispatch hazardous cargo before the required review and booking confirmation.

Coordination scope

  • Air dangerous goods enquiries
  • Sea dangerous goods enquiries
  • Battery-powered equipment assessment
  • Specialist packing and documentation enquiries
  • Carrier acceptance coordination

Prepare these details

  • Accurate product description
  • Safety data sheet where relevant
  • UN number and proper shipping name where applicable
  • Class and packing group where applicable
  • Quantity, packing and shipper contact
Sheffield shipment preparation

Declare the hazard before routing is proposed

Sheffield reviews dangerous-goods enquiries for the proposed mode and carrier. Provide the manufacturer’s product identity and safety information at the start, rather than presenting the shipment as ordinary cargo. Acceptance depends on correct classification, compliant packing, documentation and the selected carrier’s conditions.

The shipper is responsible for the dangerous-goods classification and required declaration. Sheffield coordinates the accepted forwarding scope and flags missing information; this does not replace the work of qualified dangerous-goods personnel. A sea-freight acceptance should not be treated as an air-freight acceptance for the same product.

Documents and instructions to prepare

Share the available records for review. Product-specific approvals and final requirements are confirmed for the actual shipment.

  • Product description and current safety data sheet
  • UN number, proper shipping name and classification where applicable
  • Packing specification, quantities and package weights
  • Shipper declaration and other mode-specific records where required
  • Origin, destination and proposed transport mode
From enquiry to handover

A clear execution plan

  1. Disclose commodity and classification
  2. Refer for specialist review
  3. Confirm packaging and documents
  4. Obtain carrier acceptance
  5. Coordinate the agreed movement
dangerous goods logistics

Confirm the handover, not just the freight rate.

Origin collection, cargo acceptance, clearance and final delivery work best when each party knows the agreed scope, required documents and receiving instructions.

Questions about this service

Is a safety data sheet enough to book the cargo?

Not by itself. It supports the review, but the applicable classification, packaging, marks, declarations and carrier acceptance still need to be established for the movement.

Can I disclose dangerous goods after collection?

Declare them before collection and booking. Late disclosure can prevent acceptance, require repacking or change the available routing.

Tell us what needs to move.

Our team will review the cargo and coordinate a proposal for the confirmed service requirements.
