Is the freight based only on the scale weight?
No. Air freight generally uses chargeable weight, based on actual gross weight and volumetric weight under the carrier’s rules. Send final packed dimensions; an estimated weight alone is insufficient for a firm assessment.
Can I collect immediately after the aircraft lands?
Arrival does not establish collection readiness. Sheffield checks the relevant terminal handover, customs status, agency requirements and release documents before coordinating collection at JKIA.
